Iraq's Oil Exports Reach Record High in 2024
The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced that the country's oil exports achieved record numbers in the first half of 2024, with daily production averaging 4.2 million barrels.
The Oil Minister explained that this increase comes as a result of significant investments in oil field development and infrastructure upgrades, in addition to improved security conditions in oil-producing areas.
For its part, the Iraqi government plans to invest a large portion of these revenues in sustainable development projects and diversifying sources of economic income.
